Department of General Paediatrics
The Department of General Paediatrics was established and recognized in Department 2011 . The Department deals with all types of sick children and gives medical emergency services and critical care management from neonates to adolescents. The station of the unit is in the 1st floor (Ward-4), Block-A which is the nonpaying ward. Ten free beds are allocated for this unit where patients are managed carefully and meticulously. Apart from the non-paying ward, patients are also seen in different paying wards as well as the cabins and PICU. On an average 150 patients are admitted in this unit per month and the cure rate is about 97.3%. In our department there is an integrated approach to patient care and helps to limit the volume of referral to other subspecialty departments.Various researches are conducted in this unit. There have been many prestigious publications from this department at home and abroad.
