The PICU, which is first of its kind was established in 1992 with 8 beds (2 beds free of charge for the patients of lower socioeconomic group) to serve different acute medicine cases with a wide spectrum of emergency medical care. The unit was constructed with the enerous donation from Late. Mr. Jan Mohammed Parekh and the instruments were donated by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The unit is equipped with blood gas analyzer, Ventilator, pulse oximeter, billirubin analyzer, nebulizer, oxygen meter etc.
