Department of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonology)
First ever Pediatric Respiratory unit in Bangladesh which was established initially as Respiratory unit in 1995, headed by the Professor Md. Ruhul Amin and finally established as separate Department of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonology) in 2010. This department is recognized by BCPS from 2011 and since then BCPS recognizes the training from this Department for FCPS Pediatric Pulmonology.

| Ø In patient services of all types of Acute, Chronic and Congenital Respiratory diseases of children.
Ø Out Patient services of pediatric Respiratory diseases (daily) Ø Integrated Asthma Care ( Emergency Management and Step care Management) Ø Follow up clinic (TB, Cystic Fibrosis, Pneumonia) Ø Pleural fluid aspiration and Chest tube drainage. Ø Gastric Lavage, MT, Sweat Chloride test. Ø Pediatric Pulmonary Function Test (Spirometry) Ø Gene Xpert for diagnosis Tuberculosis. Ø Pediatric Bronchoscopy (will start very soon) |
